Our mission at Healing Hearts is to touch the community and to make a REAL difference to people in any way that we can.

Our primary aim is to provide evidence and proof that there is an afterlife so that people who may be grieving can be assured that their loved ones are still around them, and fully aware of what is happening in their lives. We aim to do this by providing a medium every week that will give a public demonstration of mediumship – linking members of the audience with their departed loved ones and passing on messages.

Our secondary aim is to help charities in our communities financially so that they may continue to provide the care and support to their service users. We aim to do this by providing donations to our designated charities.

Healing Hearts is a completely non-profitable centre. This means that all profits we make from our door entry charges and raffle each week (aside from the costs of hiring our hall, paying for our medium and replenishing our refreshments) will be banked in preparation for our donation to our charities.

Total money donated so far = £17,839.79

Our Designated Charities

We're pleased to announce that we shall be supporting four Essex based charities:

(£1000 donated so far - last donation 25/04/17)

Our aim is to save lives, reduce or prevent disability, or suffering from critical illness and injury, by delivering a first class pre-hospital emergency medical service to the people of Essex, Hertfordshire and surrounding areas.

Without access to National Lottery funding and with limited support from Government, we continue to rely upon the generosity and goodwill of the people and businesses of Essex and Hertfordshire to remain operational and keep saving lives – working together funded by you!

For more information, please visit the EHAAT's website at: https://ehaat.org/

(£4500 donated so far - last donation 01/11/16)

The South Essex Wildlife Hospital (based at Orsett) is dedicated to putting ‘life’ back into the ‘wild‘, SEWH is a wildlife rescue, rehabilitation and public advice charity.

They care for sick and injured wildlife and aim to release animals back into the wild. No injured or sick animal is turned away, so the hospital operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, staffed only by dedicated volunteers and relies entirely on donations.

For more information, please visit the SEWH's website at: http://southessexwildlife.org/

(£500 donated so far - last donation 08/03/16)

The Cruse Bereavement Care Service - offer a national service for everyone who is suffering from a bereavement. They rely totally on donations and we're happy to be able to support them.

They're currently in the process of setting up an office in Basildon with a view to providing counsellors to visit people in the Thurrock area.

Our donations will enable them to pay expenses and help them become more established in their new offices.

We've supported the TTP Research Charity.  TTP (which is Thrombotic Trombocytopenia Purpura) is a rare blood disorder which causes the blood to clot and then fragment and travel to the major organs in the body.

Only 20-30 people a year contract this condition and there are only 300-500 people in the world who have it.  The death rate is 40% a year.

Sandy the wife of Clint (one of our readers) has been hospitalised this year after being diagnosed with this condition and is raising funds to help purchase a special machine that filters the blood.  We therefore are donating money to this worthy cause.

Prior to our move to Bulphan, the Healing Hearts Spiritual Centre was located in Brentwood. During our time at Brentwood we supported the Havering & Brentwood Bereavement Service and donated a total of £1000 to them.

(£1000 donated)

The Havering & Brentwood Bereavement Service (based at Hornchurch) offer a professional and confidential counselling service to adults and more recently children who are struggling to come to terms with bereavement or loss.

They work with people who live in the Havering, Brentwood, Basildon, Wickford, Laindon, Pitsea and Billericay areas, and have counselling rooms in Hornchurch, Brentwood and Vange.

For more information, please visit the HBBS's website at: http://www.hbbscounselling.org

(£250 donated)

We've supported the Spiritual Pathway Healing Association. They provide annual insurance and registration for all spiritual healers registered with them. Apart from annual subscription costs from their members, they receive no other funding.

In March 2012 we made a donation of £250 which will keep cover the admin costs such as postage and toner cartridges for the printed newsletters sent to members.

(£2500 donated)

We've supported one of our most loyal mediums, Pauline Firks. For the past 35 years, Pauline and her husband, Terry, have been involved in voluntary cat and kitten rescue both in this country and Spain. Pauline is also the treasurer of her Mother's charity, The Costa Blanca Feral Cat Trust.

All monies from Pauline's spiritual work, including the sale of her book, goes directly to helping animals in need.

In August 2012 we donated £250 to Pauline to assist her and her husband with the work that they do.

In January 2013 we donated a further £250 to assist Pauline and her husband with their work.

In July 2013 we donated a further £250 to asssist Pauline and her husband with their work.

We've supported Jeanie Jackson who runs a charity psychic ball each year to raise money for worthy causes. This year (2013) the money raised from the ball is being donated to the Hummingbird Cancer Support service & Clarks Farm Greyhound Rescue & Re-homing.

Unfortunately there were 12 unsold tickets meaning that there may have been a shortfall in the money donated to the charities. Jeanie stated that she had a list of cancer patients who would like to come and was asking churches or centres if they would like to donate a ticket.

Healing Hearts Centre has supported the ball every year since our centre opened in 2010. And we therefore decided this year to donate 6 tickets for the ball so that 6 cancer patients can enjoy a good night out!! Plus so we can help Jeanie's worthy charities as best we can.

A cheque for £210 has been sent to Jeanie Jackson.

For more information, please visit Jeanie's website at: http://www.jeanie-jackson.com

We've supported the family of Nicola Good, who sadly lost her to spirit in 2013. The family organised a charity fundraiser so that they could donate some money to St Lukes Hospice and MacMillan support.

When we heard of this evening we decided it would be a nice idea to give some money to support the evening and the work of St Lukes Hospice who provide quality end of life care in the Basildon area of Essex.
